Company history
What started in 1994 as a small office right at the market square in St. Florian has since evolved into a company that, thanks to its specialization, experience and know-how, gained the trust of its customers – from small businesses to renowned national and international corporations alike.
Together with a partner, engineer Kurt Hödl founded the Hödl Engineering Office in St. Florian near Linz. Due to project requirements, the team quickly increased to 6 employees.
In order to be able to keep the employees even after completing project-based orders, employee outsourcing was implemented. Especially large enterprises made use of this employee hiring service.
The Hödl Engineering Office moved to the then newly constructed Technology Center on Pummerinplatz, named after the famous bell the "Pummerin" in St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna, which was cast on that site 50 years previously.
After completing his education, Lukas Hödl joined the company.
Lukas Hödl took over the position of managing director from his predecessor and founder, Kurt Hödl. Since then, he has been actively shaping the company’s development, according to his philosophy of "working ON the company instead of just working IN the company".
The office relocation to the new, state-of-the-art "Hofmeistergebäude", close to the previous location, came along with some upgrades: more space, up-to-date workplaces and a roof terrace on which to find inspiration and recharge ones batteries.
TB Hödl currently employs almost 30 people, half of whom operate directly at the customer’s place of work as technical personnel. Another 5 people form the team at the newly opened branch office of TBH Slovakia in Trencin, led by Igor Martinka.
